  • We will be passionate about what we do.
  • We will fulfil our objectives with integrity and pride.

My name is Donna and I attend RHLT Work Experience. Firstly I went to Richmond Adult Community College to learn about my role in social care which helped me to develop more skills. After this course I started my work placement at Laurel Dene Care Home in Hampton where I run a quiz and help out with picture bingo. I am also a befriender for the residents and I also assist with feeding the residents their lunch. I have also attended some of RHLT trips such as Winchester and Longleat Centre parcs. These trips are good value for money and were helpful, well organised and a lot of fun which also taught me some life skills.

The RHLT Work experience and trips have helped to increase my confidence, meet new people and make new friends, and overcome obstacles. I also have learned new skills such as time management, being punctual and now know that it’s okay to fail and try again. I have also become more independent and learned to be more healthy.

I would recommend anyone to come and try out RHLT’s activities and trips. RHLT have fun and friendly staff and are very supportive and honest.
