Richmond Homes and Lifestyle Trust is committed to creating and supporting real opportunities for people with a learning disability living within the Borough of Richmond and the surrounding areas.

Our Vision

Our vision is to expand our existing services and to create new opportunities.

We will develop and grow our successful residential and supported living accommodation and our aim is to become a leading provider in the Borough.

We will support people with a learning disability to live the lives that they choose by providing affordable activities through which they can widen their social circles.

We are a values-driven Trust and our core values include the following: -

  • We will support and engage with all of our staff, our volunteers and the people who use our services.
  • We will be forward thinking and creative in all that we do.
  • We aspire to break down barriers; we want the people whom we support to be able to reach their full potential.
  • We are dedicated to the personal development of all of our staff members and volunteers.
  • We will be passionate about what we do.
  • We will fulfil our objectives with integrity and pride.

Robert has very much enjoyed all the regular social events on offer from RHLT. He is keen to attend as many as he can – the pub nights, the days out, the quizzes, the ‘diners club’ and games nights! It has allowed him to be sociable in a safe environment and to grow in confidence. RHLT also offered a Travel Training course, which helped with confidence and he is now able to travel independently to and from the social events. This has also helped with his Project Search course, getting to and from Brentford by bus and train.

All of this has meant that Phil and I have been able to enjoy some quality time together, just going for a meal or to the theatre. The Breakaway weekends have been marvelous. We have, for the first time, been able to go away ourselves, safe in the knowledge that Robert is safe and being well looked after.

Anyone who has a child with additional needs, knows how hard it can be to balance all aspects of life and caring for our children. Having RHLT supporting us by allowing us some ‘time out’, to relieve the stress and worry, has been wonderful. The range of activities offered is brilliant and the organization on every trip is second to none.

Thank you RHLT for supporting us, as carers and parents, and for giving all the young people the sort of social life that they should be experiencing.
