Our Volunteers

RHLT has a small but dedicated band of volunteers who help with fundraising and support RHLT staff to run the many activities that the Trust provides for individuals with learning disabilities in and around the borough. Without the support of the volunteer team it would just not be possible for us to run anything like the range of activities currently on offer nor to organise fundraising events.

Help us run our activities

We are always looking for new volunteers who would be willing to help the RHLT staff run our activities which range from the weekly RHLT pub nights, the Cover to Cover book group and the Dance and Fitness class to theatre visits and riverboat trips.  Whether it's one or two hours a month or a few hours every week, the help is always welcome!

help us with our fundraising

Even if you cannot make time available on a regular basis we would be delighted if you would like to help us with some of our fundraising events. Last year our fundraising highlight was taking part in the Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge in the summer which was great fun.

If you would like to get involved and join the volunteer team you will be very warmly welcomed. You don’t need any special skills just plenty of enthusiasm and a desire to help those with learning disabilities.
